This outdoor wedding at a 17 C mass rock in Co Sligo was the simplest form of space making. Cover was to be provided against the West of Ireland wind and rain. With this came the chance to create an atmosphere fitting for the occasion. The canopy hugged the form of the tree, emphasising the natural curves of the branches and framing the ancient trunk. The details of the canopy indulged in the sailmakers experience with layering of fabric while all tensioned ties used traditional ropes and tension techniques to add to the ancient feel of the overall.
