An opportunity to design and make a compact, temporary space for the beautiful grounds of Borris House, Co. Carlow and Electric picnic 2015

The Tower Room takes its influence from our rich heritage of Tower castles as the centers of economic and social activity of their time. In a modern context our large period houses become these centres of economic and social activity for the period of the festival.

The Tower Castles used an internal arched structure to form the main inhabited rooms surrounded by a protective outer shell. The Mobile motel room uses these characteristics to create a temporary room to live in for the duration of the festivals.
