Dun Laoghaire House

Extension/Renovation

In Collaboration with Gordon Ryan.

This renovation and extension to an end of terrace council house in Co Dublin is a lesson in space making. The ground floor is free from circulation traffic due to the entrance being along the side alleyway, bringing the inhabitant directly into the centre of the house. The design uses a series of hidden doors and flush details to hide all secondary spaces and allow the walls to move and change depending on the necessary amount of privacy for the main living spaces.
